Subscription fatigue is real. Before you sign up for anything — ours or anyone else's — ask yourself these four things.
1. How often do you actually need new things?
If the honest answer is 'rarely,' a monthly box will sit unopened and you'll resent it. Quarterly or annual is almost always the better pick.
2. Do you trust the curator?
Subscription boxes live or die on taste. Read one issue of the curator's newsletter or look at their Instagram. If their eye doesn't match yours, a discount won't fix it.
3. Can you pause?
Most good subscriptions let you skip or pause. Check this before you sign up — not after.
4. What's the exit?
Look for a one-click cancel link inside the account page. If you can't find it in the T&Cs, that's your answer.
